“With an incredible teaching style that really captures and maintains the student’s attention, Katherine quickly understands the most effective teaching techniques for a dyslexic student. After my son’s first session, two months before his GCSE, he said “Katherine thinks like me”. So motivational, well organised and quickly established a plan of techniques to support him through revision stages. Despite struggling with English Language and achieving Grade 3 in mocks, his confidence grew along with the techniques, and something clicked and he achieved a strong Grade 6.” Fiona McHugh, Raynes Park, 2024
“My bright 8-year-old has been struggling with reading and writing, and we suspect he has dyslexia. Whilst awaiting assessment, I started looking for ways to inspire him and build his confidence, when I came across Katherine’s details. I wanted to concentrate on his strengths, and felt that traditional tutoring would make him lose further confidence. Just one storytelling session with Katherine transformed my son’s self-belief and, as hoped, has ignited a passion for learning within him. Katherine tailors her creative sessions according to my son’s needs and interests, and he looks forward to them. As well as firing his imagination, and teaching him about storytelling, we’ve seen an improvement in the academic subjects of science and maths. He’s also asking to read, doing his homework, and is excited about school.” Saima Mir, 2024
“My daughter loves this class! She now writes stories and poems on her own, and has even been teaching me to write stories. Twice this term she received the “Star Writer” award for her class. It’s been tremendous to watch her explore her imagination with Katherine’s help!” Rachel Fowler, Raynes Park, 2017
“Katherine is someone with a deep awareness of her own embodied being and she brings this awareness to others. She is able to draw on her own experiences of suffering to recognise and respond to others in distress. She is able to create space for people to be and to feel accepted in their being.” Joanna Grace, The Sensory Projects, 2024
“Thank you for all the magic work that you have done, I read yesterday one of her school compositions about a dragon and the smell that was around him and all the description and it was really good as she put into writing what she learnt with you.” Emanuela Riolo, 2017, parent of 6 year old child
